Research Assistant, HAMR-TEI (Part-time, 04-month & Third-party Contract)

Trách nhiệm chính

• Support the delivery of the Heat Adaptation for the Mekong Region (HAMR) project by assisting with research, coordination, and project implementation activities.
• Conduct laboratory/field work, academic literature reviews, database searches, and design of data collection or interview regimes.
• Ensure data collection, storage and preliminary analysis follow research protocols and comply with ethics and university policies.
• Prepare and manage presentations, reports, research proposals, articles and publications.
• Coordinate meetings between researchers and external administrators and develop internal and external contacts to build collaborative networks.

Yêu cầu công việc

• University graduate degree (Masters or doctorate) in Arts, Science, Social Science or Business.
• If English is not the first language, evidence of IELTS score of minimum 5.5 during the last two years should be provided.
• Demonstrated research experience in primary or secondary data collection.
• Ability to use NVivo, SPSS, Stata, and R is preferred.
• Knowledge of literature review databases.
• Ability to conduct analytical research, analyse, interpret, evaluate, coordinate and report resulting information.
• Demonstrated ability to support research proposal preparation and research design in Arts, Science, Social Science or Business.
• Experience in preparing research reports and graphic presentations of data.
• Problem‑solving skills that assure detailed follow‑up when required.
• Well‑developed planning and organisational skills with proven ability to prioritise multiple tasks, set and meet deadlines and give attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
• Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues and cluster leads/members.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required.
• Demonstrated high‑level written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, RMIT Values and RMIT Leadership Model.
