Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist – Aus4Growth (A4G)

• Lead the development and implementation of the Aus4Growth M&E framework, ensuring activity-level plans incorporate M&E that captures essential information for ongoing management decisions and adaptation.
• Identify evidence-informed areas for improvement through the annual reflect and refocus and annual planning process.
• Undertake and lead monitoring missions and activities related to relevant domain-level work and whole-of-investment monitoring.
• Ensure activities meet the program’s ethical guidelines for research and evaluation.
• Support MEL capacity development activities within Aus4Growth and, where requested, with program stakeholders including GoV.
• Produce compelling M&E products (reports, dashboards, policy briefs) that meet the information needs of intended audiences and DFAT’s M&E standards.
• Support the reporting and uptake of evidence among Aus4Growth staff and key stakeholders such as DFAT and GoV.
• Participate in flagship MEL activities.
• Mainstream cross-cutting priorities, particularly GEDSI and digitalisation, in all activities and outputs.
• Understand how innovation and technology shape the way we work and introduce new ways of working through AI, data and technology.
• Develop and maintain client and stakeholder relationships across assignments and maintain professional, respectful and effective relationships with colleagues.
• Proactively lead internal initiatives to seek improvements, encouraging team participation and sharing of new ideas.
• Train or buddy more junior colleagues and support onboarding and training of project teams on company policies and guidelines.

• Tertiary qualifications in evaluation, research methods, and/or other relevant disciplines such as international development, sociology, anthropology, political science, or another methodology-related field.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting M&E for donor-funded programs, research and evaluation, data analysis, use of digital technology for research, and report writing.
• Experience designing, administering, and analysing surveys and conducting interviews, preferably with culturally diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience analysing large quantities of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Demonstrated experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgement.
• Highly developed organisational skills, agility and the ability to balance and prioritise multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
