About This Job

- Manage and address factory quality issue escalation, failure analysis (FA), root cause and corrective action (RCCA) from FAI, OQC, ORT, yield fallouts, customer complaints, and field failures during NPI/MP phases.
- Coordinate with on-site operation team members and suppliers to resolve emergency issues locally in a timely manner.
- Define and implement phone product cosmetic specifications and design FATP quality cosmetic station inspection plan, ensuring specifications meet requirements, and participate in design for quality (DFQ) reviews with design/manufacturing partners, including mechanical/module supplier development engineering (SDE).
- Identify production line factors critical to quality and establish production quality control procedures.
- Drive DOE (design of experiment), collect SPC (statistical process control) data to enable evaluation/qualification/verification of cost effectiveness meeting overall manufacturing quality goals with cross-functional team.

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product quality development or manufacturing engineering for mobile or consumer electronics products.
- 5 years of experience as a product quality engineer, or a similar role.

- Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience overseeing yield improvements and cycle time reductions for high volume and high complexity parts.
- Experience in consumer hardware development and manufacturing processes, vendor relations and working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
- Knowledge of statistical quality control such as Six Sigma, and familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, R language.
- Ability to read and draw mechanical and PCBA schematics.
