About This Job

- Own the automation architecture across UI, API, and data migration suites.
- Review requirements, define automation scope, and design test strategies.
- Analyze failures, find root causes, and drive fixes.
- Plan and sequence the team's workload; estimate, prioritize, and keep delivery predictable.
- Own client communication: report progress, raise risks early, and bring options rather than problems.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Hands‑on experience with Cypress and Playwright (JavaScript) and building automation frameworks from scratch – structure, locator layer, reusable actions, test data, reporting, CI – and can defend the trade‑offs.
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) with scheduled and triggered runs; Git and review workflows.
- Uses AI tooling (Claude, Copilot, Cursor or similar) to speed up writing and maintaining tests, and can judge the quality of AI‑generated code before it enters the suite.
- Scaled automation for large systems and long regression suites, including debugging flaky and environment‑dependent failures.
- Automated REST API testing (Postman/Newman, REST Assured, or code‑based); solid grasp of HTTP, authentication, JSON schema validation, and chaining calls into end‑to‑end flows.
- Tested data migration projects: record counts, field‑level mapping, transformation logic, large data sets, using SQL for validation.
- Led quality initiatives and influenced engineering teams on best practice.
