- Demand validation & consolidation: test and consolidate business demand before sourcing begins, challenge specifications, separate technical necessity from preference, and aggregate requirements across sites and regions.
- Build technical understanding of each assigned category to question specifications credibly and bring in internal technical owners as authority.
- Convert validated demand into a clear sourcing scope and business case.
- Supply market intelligence: map assigned categories, run primary research, vendor outreach, supplier interviews, site visits, verify documents, analyze vendor financial statements, and synthesize findings into briefs.
- Cost intelligence: build should‑cost and total cost of ownership models, quantify full cost picture, and maintain models for tenders, renewals, and budget cycles.
- Sourcing solution design: recommend sourcing methods, design evaluation scorecards, and ensure information flows to stakeholders.
- Negotiation targets & deal structure: set negotiation targets, propose deal structures, hand over negotiation briefs, and support analytically.
- Project leadership: drive projects from definition to contract, coordinate inputs, document outcomes, and feed lessons learned back into category strategy.
Yêu cầu
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in management consulting (strategy & operations, supply chain or procurement), commercial or financial due diligence, industry or equity research, strategic sourcing, or category management.
- Prior procurement experience is welcome but not required.
- Covered at least one category, industry or commodity deeply enough to explain its market structure and cost drivers without preparation.
- Built a cost or financial model from scratch, with explicit drivers and sensitivities.
- Demonstrated ability to learn an unfamiliar domain quickly and comfort asking basic technical questions.
- Willing and able to do primary research in the field: cold vendor outreach, supplier interviews, and site visits across Vietnam.
